Okay, I don't know if this is at all possible, but does anyone have any idea how to curb aggression in juvenille paradise fish?

I have a young male and he won't behave anywhere I put him. Just recently he started acting like this, so I am open to any ideas.

If there's nothing I'll have to start thinking about trading him in to the lfs :(.

I've never tried mine in a community, because he jumps and splashes if the barbs in a nearby tank even come down to the closer end of their separate aquarium.

But if I were trying to minimize aggression I'd try breaking up the visual space-- especially the surface-- with plenty of floating plants.

I've had better luck with 4 to 5 or more gourami since this allows the aggressor to get distracted rather than chasing one fish all around the tank. I also agree that adding plants, rocks etc. will help.
