Custom Sealife Powerquad lighting..

Anyone got opinions on these? I'm lookin at em to replace my halides with cuz I'm tired of the heat of the bulbs and noise of the fans... So far, I'm sold on em, but I would of course love to hear other opinions...

I do not have any experience with metal halides but I will tell you that my 4 x 96 watt pcs raise my tank temp about 4 degrees every day, so I would still count on some heat being generated by this set up.

I'll be goin 2x96 over a 55, so that's at 2 degrees during the day assuming you have the same size tank... I'm ok with that... My hood is very well ventilated, so I expect less actually...

For a point of reference, I have a 50 gal tank with 1 3" computer fan.
