Cut a 2x4

So a good old fashioned hand saw is obsolete these days?? :D
One of these days I'm going to lose a finger to one of those. I'm probably limp-wristing it or something, but they always get stuck in the middle of a cut for me. I spend more time fighting the saw than cutting the wood.

I agree that some of the answers are amusing, and I appreciate Kasakato's tolerance of our jovial take on the answers possible to the original question.

there are obviously many possibilities as to what you could cut boards with.

a carpenters hand saw would be the cheapest apropriate tool to use. you could add a miter box to guide your sawing if you are unsure of your ability to create even perpendicular cuts

other wise you have options from a handheld or benchtop circular saw, miter saw, band saw... each with thier own technique to obtain the cut you want.

what about a 2 watt CO2 laser?! :D or a 10,000psi water jet?

Chainsaw carpentry is always fun as well...

LOL I think this whole thing has turned into a joke

So why are you cutting 2X4's? You starting to drive the peanut gallery crazy. :p I would hate to see when the natives get restless. :D
