Im currently doing a fishless cycle with my 29g tank and the water is pretty cloudy. Now i got colored rocks and i think that might have something to do with it but i dont know. Any ideas?

Its probably the rocks. did you wash them off before you put them in there?
and second yes to your q last night Dall

Hey web lol.
And luchbox... it was very cloudy at the beginning and then it was crystal clear, now its cloudy again. And yes i washed off the rocks

do a search on here or google for a bacterial bloom.....

sounds to me like that is what it is..... especially if the rocks are a different color than the water cloudiness.....

The water looks cloudy because you have millions and millions of beneficial bacteria multipilying all at one time....

no worries though.... it will be gone in a day or two if thats what it is...

ahhh that would make sense. since in a fishless cycle you're adding a lot of ammonia, which means a lot of food for the bacteria, which means it'll reproduce a lot faster.... Give it some time like D-Bak suggested and see what happens :)

k Thanks guys
