Very sad news. There is an online guest book at the obituary URL if anyone wants to leave a note for her family.

very sad..i wish her family the best..they will be in my prayers

wow, I had no idea...I was wondering why I hadn't heard from her. Barb was a kind and generous person who I received alot of advice from and had a fantastic sense of humor. I am truly going to miss her.

Wow. I was totally floored by this news that I read 5 minutes after waking up this morning. I couldn't even reply after reading it. I was really starting to wonder if something was wrong because I hadn't heard from her in a while and we were communicating regularly. Barb was the first to "welcome" me to the forum and had become a close friend through the much too short time we talked. I feel horrible for her, her family, and even her snails--they must miss her dearly!! I feel like we should be paying snail support to ensure they're taken care of as well as Barb would like. Aww and she just got her Spixi snails that she was so excited about.
I am glad to say that each and every time I peek into my RCS & Brig (both purchased from Barb) grow out tank that I will have only the greatest memories of our fellow forum member. Barb will truly be missed. I know she touched me in the short time that I knew her so I can only imagine how many other people here and everywhere else that she touched as well. Rest in peace, Barb.

It's strange when a person from a forum you go to dies. If you frequent the threads enough you become aware of the members and their contributions. Even though you never actually knew them personally, and regardless of the amount of interaction between you, it still feels like losing a friend.

We'll miss you here Dakotagirl.
