No it rots away, I'm not sure what SG it starts rotting at but I know thats why people only have driftwood in lowend brackish.

Well now that I said that I can't find where I read it, I think I've read that one the puffer forum though, you could ask over there or maybe someone will read this who knows, haha
I'd imagine it would be true, I live in the Maritimes of Canada right on the Bay of Fundy and when i went driftwood hunting much of it was quite rotted. It took me a long time to find one that was solid enough to put in my 10. I'll keep mine in as long as possible and just give the surface of it a scratch whenever I do a WC to see when it starts to crumble and remove it then.
At about what size should i start increasing th SG of my tank? I've already upped it from 1.008 to 1.012. I have no Idea how old my fish are, they're about 1.5 inches give or take at the moment.

Thank you, I think i've read the article 5 times now, but there's so much info in it that I can't seem to absorb it all. I think i'll print it out & put it on the wall next to my puffers
