I didn't make up the title - it's stated that way on his website! :D

Blaine, 33, will use specially created 'life-lines' which will provide him with nutrition and air to stay alive. After the week is up, Blaine will remove his air supply and attempt to break the world record for holding his breath - currently set at eight minutes 58 seconds.

Wonder how long it takes before algae starts growing! They probably have chlorine in the water.

You should see some of the other things he has done! Wonder how he uses the restroom? Best not to think about it... :thud:

Cycling the tank?

Per the Colbert Report: He has a catheter for when he has to do Number one, and he doesn't plan on doing any Number 2. ;)

I believe it is also marine water to get him used to the pressure and such

I don't know how he does it...

Not only for this stunt, but even the "burried alive" one. ..Imagine the control you haveto have on your body not to drive yourself cray in a tiny little box... just thinking of it makes me want to stretch out and appreciate the fact that I'm able to do so.

That IS scary... The walls are closing in, etc...

Also, remember the movie "Creepshow" and the segment, "Something to tide you over"? That was where the guy (Ted Danson) was buried up to his neck on the beach at low tide... ! .....no need to say more....
