Someone recommended dabbing my molly's problem area with iodine, and I am having problems finding the standard reddish colored iodine. The pharmacy that I went to only had decolorized iodine, and I'm not sure if it's the same as far as treatment goes. Anybody have experience with this? I don't want to use it until I'm sure it's not going to cause more problems.

What is the problem with your molly? Iodine solution or hydrogen peroxide is usually used for ulcerated wounds only and coated afterwards with Neosporin to prevent bacteria from seeping into the wounds. You probably do not need it if wound is not really a serious case of ulcer.

To be honest, I'm still not sure what the problem is with her. I have a post about it, but never got a clear answer. Right now I'm treating with aquarium salt and Prazi Pro (recommended by the LFS), but no noticeable improvement after 3 days of that treatment.

I don't think you need iodine solution for this one. Would be nice to have iodine on hand though just in case you really need it. I always have betadine around just in case I needed it.
