Hi,I am thinking of going with a 5"-6" dsb in my new 125g reef but a lot of people over here in the UK are telling me that it is not always the best way to go as debris can collect under the LR and can not always be siphoned out when doing water change if it is in difficult to reach areas as you do not want to stir up the sand. How do you guys using dsb`s avoid this problem. My guess is i could hide some powerheads behind LR and attatch spray bars to ensure debris does not get stuck but i would like to hear your more knowledgeable suggestions. THANKS

Strong circulation is a must. That's how I keep things from settling anywhere. I never vacuum the sand though - it's so fine that it would just all get sucked up. A healthy clean up crew takes care of the rest of the cleaning duties.

Just curious - what type/depth of substrate are people over there telling you to use?
