So, here's my plan. I am thinking that the bloom came as a result of beginning to dose phosphate for the plants about 3 weeks ago. Since everything else has been fine. So I am running phosphate removal pads in the filters with a blanket over the tank (so sad).
I figure no more doing phosphates should do it. BUT if I get another bloom, I will look towards the UV sterilizer. Does anybody know of an in-tank, submersible 9watt UV sterilizer? Or one that has its own power head (rather than buying one and adding that too) that makes it easy to add and remove from the tank?
