did u get the N1H1 flu shot?

Very limited around here. I tried to get it a couple times but they never seem to have enough so I gave up. I did however get the normal flu shot.
 
The vax is very limited here, too. As it is, I've been really sick this week with a flu-like illness. I saw the Dr. on Thursday, and she thought it might be H1N1. She tested me, but the results won't be back until Monday. In the meantime she gave me Tamiflu and antibiotics. I started the antibiotics (whether or not they'll help in the long run is controversial), but skipped the Tamiflu. Tamiflu supposedly helps if taken within 48 hours, and I met that criteria, but the side-effects can be worse than the flu. Another thing about this is isolation. My 6 year old son had his last soccer game this morning, but the coach asked that he not come----because he might be carrying my germs. *sigh* Some people are terrified of the swine flu.
 
I'm not getting it, I've never gotten a flu shot in my entire life. I've never had the flu, and I've been around a lot of people with the flu. I have a very strong immune system and very rarely get sick, so I don't see the point for me. I even know a few people who have swine flu right here in my town!

Besides, its a NEW vaccine. I wouldn't trust a new vaccine. Only if it was a tried and trusted vaccine that has been around for many years would I trust it (and even then I'm skeptical). IMO.
 
as long as you are healthy, and have a healthy immune system, there is no need to worry. In my opinion, and based on that video, some vaccinations can do more harm than good
 
That video , someone changed the name. If you watch the full video, that was from the common seasonal flu shot. NOT THE H1N1 flu aka the swine flu. I think that the hype is worse than the bite. But I too am worried, children who get this are dieing and alot of other ppl are too.

I have not gotten my children or myself the shot as it is not avaiable to me yet.

WILL i get it? yes.

Also, Watched a segment on 60 minutes the other day. There have been very small amount of complaints about the vaccine and the only side effects are those of upset stomach and other common side effects to any vaccine. In the 70s where the vaccine scare started there were roughly 400 bad reactions out of 40 million given, but the reaction was bad. This vaccine is not made the same way. It is made from live virus and It is made the same way as the seasonal flu. In eggs. Grown and killed to create the vaccine. The method used for the seasonal flu, and it is safe...with only rare serious side effects ex//the video above.
 
i think that you should, personally. There have been alot of vaccines given and hardly any side effects. They are giving the vaccine free now so no cost to you.

Better safe than sorry....alot of people who get H1N1 are dying. Would you rather get an upset stomach or die?
