. . . . . on the Action/Crime television shows, the detectives, cops , CSI's or whatevers always enter a dark room or building with guns up at the ready, and never turn the lights on?? Even when they're looking for evidence, they just use flashlights. How much evidence can you see with just a bloody flashlight???? :look: :thud:

I think it's because if you turn on the light like that you kill your vision and instantly alert the crimanl to the fact that you're standing next to the light-switch semi-blinded...

Yup, that's the duh huh answer to the first part. But why do they investigate crime scenes in the dark with just a flashlight? Aside from dramatic effect for the viewer??

You want to be able to see your line of fire...If you randomly shoot in the dark there's a chance someone innocent might get killed...

You got it! For effect...!

It's great some notice stuff like this.
Darkness and dark scenes add to the unknown, the mystery..

WHat gets me is when the cop starts into a room, then stops and either pops open the cylinder of his revolver or ejects the magazine on his semi auto to check for ammo.

A- little late then, and B- wasn't it loaded when you left the Station; bullet fairie stealing the loads?

Detective Willows looks best when silhouetted in the sultry glow of a small blue LED flashlight. :D
