Difference in RedSea Berlin Skimmers X2 vs Classic?

I was looking at the RedSea Berlin Skimmers, Old vs New versions. Why do they claim the new one works so much better? Is it because the new pumps produce more/better bubbles than the old venturies did or is there another factor that I am not aware of? If its just the pump could you upgrade an Old skimmer with a new pump and have the same thing? Thanks, Arkangel77

I wish I could tell you. I have not, unfortunately, seen one of the new versions in action. On the other hand, I consider the older version's performance to be terrible. Unless there was a considerable improvement, I'd continue to steer clear.

Edit: looking at the amount of air the pump is able to pull, there is an improvement there. That number, however, is rather poor and isn't worth the cost (nor is their rating anywhere close to being accurate), all IMHO.
