hey all, I was thinking about doing somthing new to my tank yesterday, and I noticed that thier is a water pipe above my closet right next to my fish tank.

I got this crazy Idea of cuting the pipe and adding a T to it, then run some pipe into the tank with a on/off flawset. that way I could fill the tank no problem when ever it got low.

problems

1. the water pipe is copper....
2. its a cold water pipe

think it would be worth it?

I dont think I need one, the water up here in colorado is crystal clear, the best in america :D I figured it wouldn't matter from the copper pipe becuase the water I get out of the sink comes out of the pipeing as well....

there are little electronic solenoid valves. You could either wire them up to a timer or a float switch. Could you maybe drill a hole in your sump and route that to a drain line somewhere?
