hey all,

i was wondering how angels and discus go together... i know i can't add them to my current tank, which is pretty darn full right now, but when i upgrade to hopefully a 100g, maybe can they go together, or can i make the 36 bowfront a planted discus tank, or should i leave the angels in the 36 and move over some of the other stuff and make the new tank a large planted discus tank? what are your opinions? check sig for fish currently in the 36. thanks.

jason.

Some folks do so and without any issues. Often, it will come down to the personalities of the angels, and if you get mating pairs of either grouping forming.

I personally like to keep them seperate as it accents the beauty of both.

Angels and discus may be housed together. Adults are easier, since the larger discus easily muscle in for food. Juveniles you need to be sure that the discus are getting enough food. You will have to feed the discus frozen foods. It is best to feed the angels flakes or freeze-dried foods first so that they are stuffed when you put the discus' food in.
