Discus and Tetras Compatible?

I would like to know if Discus and Tetras are compatible as tankmates. I'm not much for Cichlids because of the fin nipping behavior of these fish but would like to try discus out.

Will they make a meal out of the neon and rummy nose that I already have?

Neon Tetras don't like the high temps that Discus require, so they're not a good match.

Not sure about the Rumynose Tetras.

I have Cardinal, Glowlight and Black Neon Tetras in with my Discus, and have had no problems so far.
