Which type of dry (small pellet) food do you prefer to feed your discus?

I'm sure there are other good ones too, but these are what I have encountered. I started using a combination of these three in an autofeeder to supplement my feeding of blood worms, beefheart etc. There has been a noticable difference in the growth rates. I'm going to need to restock soon so I thought I would look into if any one was better than the other. I have found that certain fish prefer the tetra color and others prefer hikari/new life. I'm guessing their preference depends on what they were raised on.

the tetra color bits have always been my fishs favorite.
Now I have a question.
what is your feeding schedule? for adult or juvenile discus. i.e. beef heart, blood worms, brine shrimp??
 
ive had great luck with extreme crumbles and new life
 
Feeding schedule is mixed due to my schedule 2-5 times a day for all my fish because i have some 1 yr old Discus with some 3 yr old Discus. If I had real young fish again (like quarter/half dollar sized) I would feed 5 times a day in a bare bottom. I would move to beef heart asap cause that will make a big difference in final size eg 2 yrs.
 
I have mine on an autofeeder that drops 4 times a day, at 9am, 1pm, 5pm, and 9pm. Then whenever I get a chance 2 times a day I feed frozen. I usually try to space it out so that it is in between the auto feeder drops.

For my frozen food I thaw out a big batch of blood worms, 50/50 plus, and beefheart and rinse it all really well and mix it together. I make up a batch once a week and portion it out into a 2x7 ice cube tray and re-freeze it. One tray for each tank proportioned according to the fish load. It also makes for a convenient time if I want to medicate the food too. I don't have any really small juvelines... so everyone gets the same. Its a pain to do it, but I don't want to have to think when I feed them.

Do most of you guys have an overflow box? I had to set the pump on a digital timer to turn off before the food dumps so it doesn't go straight to the sump. The side effect of that is the water surface is like glass and the food floats on top because of the surface tension. Usually someone comes along and splashes which knocks it down... but not always...

I have an overflow on my tank and experience some issues with the food going down the overflow. but most of the pellets seem to make it mid level to bottom level.

btw, I can only get the 'extreme' color granuals..which have cyclop-eeze in them(red stuff)
 
My discus prefer the New Life Spectrum Discus Formula. They eat it up like little piggies.
