One of my wild blue discus jumped out of my tank last night and has lost one of it's eyes in the fall, it has not lost the whole eye but the entire centre or iris, please can anyone recommend what I should do in terms of medication or if is better to euthanize the fish. It it currently in a planted discus tank with 7 other discus, cardinals and Cories. Any help welcome.

I've had a few jumpers that I thought would never survive. Partially dried out, covered in dust, cloudy eyes, etc, but they made it through with no permanent (looking) damage. Maybe some extra water changes to keep nitrates as low as possible and warmer water to speed healing.

I would not euthanize the fish just because it lost an eye. It can still live a long life. I would swab the area with some anti bacteria meds just to be sure.
