Dear All

A have a group of Discus fish at my home aquarium between male and female but not a married.
Do you have any way to agree between two fish of one males and one female to make marry them.

Im not clear on your question. Your english is a little off, but I have been speaking english for over 20 years and I still cant talk right half the time!!! Are you asking how to tell the difference between male and female discus? Or just how to make them pair up?

I know some fish you can tell the difference and some you cant. Im not sure about discus

As for getting them to pair off, usually you need to have a low stress environment with near perfect water quality.

I think he is asking how to get them to spawn...

For discus, drop the pH to around 6-6.5 and lower your water hardness to under 100 u/S. Drop the temperature down to 80-82 degrees and feed heavily and do extra water changes...they should spawn within a week of such treatment. If they dont, keep doing the above, but also clean them up of external parasites by using potassium permanganate, Formalin or 35% Hydrogen Peroixde as a bath treatment.

Depends on who you ask...Personally, I have been taught several methods of sexing discus, including a method that can sex discus as small as 3.5" in size. Sexing methods vary from breeder to breeder, as well as the type of discus being sexed. But the only 100% way to sex a discus is to watch them spawn and have a successful hatch with wigglers.

Do u mind going over the methods you know of?
 
Well, there are several methods. From taking the fish out of the water and lifting its skirt up to using the fins to determine the sex. The most common type of sexing is using the fins. Though its not 100% accurate, I seem to get a 50% accuracy using this method :D

The dorsal and anal fins....look towards the back half of them. Make an imaginary line by using the edge of the fins and extending your imaginary line all the way out past the tail fin. Do this for both dorsal and anal fins. Now, you need to see if those imaginary lines touch the tail fin at all. If the lines do not touch the tail fin, then it is a male...if the imaginary lines touch (especially if both of them touch) the tail fin, then it is most likely a female.

There are other methods also using the fins, but they are more elaborate, but are also more accurate.

i always use the fin method, if the hypothetical path of a line drawn paralell with the dorsal fin crosses the tail, it is a female... and vice versa.

there is no way to make discus pair besides patience. once they are 5+" they will start to pair off and dissassociate them selves from the group. once they breed once or twice, put them in a tank by themselves.

Sorry for the poor english that I have used last time and thanks a lot for your replies.
What I wanted to say is that I know how to sex discus fish ,but the problem is that none of them are a pair. They all swim together although all the water variables are met, the color of the fish is amazing and they eat well.
The question is how to make them pair?
Shall I separate two fish (male and female) and put them together so that they become a pair and give them special food or let nature take its coarse?
Knowing that
-the size of the fish is between 3 and 4 inch
-the size of the tank is 140 gallon

looking forward for your advice

3-4 inch discus wont pair up until they are at least 6-6 1/2 inches, once they are that size it should be easier, just do what dkarc saus amd have patience
