discus prices

If your lucky enough to live around breeders, I've been able to get them occasionally at $5-10 for halfdollar size offspring. Most LFS sell random strains from 30-70 depending on size, but the pricing is so different everywhere you look really. And yes, they can be mixed up btw.
yea i think i the lfs stor i go to he has about 6 that have been there a bit pretty small they look nice for like $60 bucks,but i seen a place intown that breeds them im not sure of their prices i rushed thru there just checking things out im gonna say 40 im pretty sure they had wild and farmed i should check it out again
if you can find local breeders you should consider them.

I got mine from a local guy..they have turned out to be a lot less difficult to keep than many are led to believe.
some colors will command a higher price like snake skins while more common colors may be more affordable,.

April (Pets Beautiful) has a great shop with great fish and gets some of her stock from the same person in California where I got some of mine! I don't know if she's got many juvies, but worth getting in touch with her.
And further away is Bob Garside at http://www.uppercanadadiscus.com/. But I think he is really far away from you.
I suggest looking up simplydiscus.com. There forum has a good number of exporters and breeders that breed the finest discus I've seen to date. There is a breeder there by the name of Kenny who is pretty much considered the best. Good prices, and great customer service.
You can also try sunrise toprical discus as they have very fair prices and they have gotten favorable reviews.
Usually buying in bulk online will be cheaper then buying a group from a lfs. And the quality will be much higher.
