Discus Shipment from Kenny

wow.. that's a pretty high pH for a hardness that low.. how'd you pull that off?

ummm i really dont know! i did a 70% water change on a cylcled tank...straight from the tap and added prime yesterday...

is this good or bad? i can add baking soda to raise the KH but my fish are already here and acclimating as we speak...

or is my test kit out of whack? i have the red sea one... im guna do another test
:help:

ok so i reread the instructions for the test kits on GH/KH
I think i have found the problem... I made a mistake in the procedures in copmpleting the tests..:wall::wall::wall::wall:

instead of coninously adding the drops UNTIL i get the correct color on the card I only did it when it fist had a hint of the color (ie it was the same color but lighter):mad2:

oh well...stupid me.... :headshake2: but after redoing the tests my results were:

GH: 6ppm
KH: 4 PPM

whew what a relief! everythings ok...:grinyes:

Now i can transfer my fish in peace...

that is a good level to have.. the water is soft which discus thrive in.

spend time and properly raise the discus and you will get years of pleasure from them.

I raised mine from 2" and they are now 6" and over 3 yrs old(I think):wall:
