It looks like we have enough interest to at least talk about this. We need ideas for when and where. A trip to Moody Gardens Aquarium was suggested. I've been there several times and am ready to go back any time.

Also, FOTAS, the Federation Of Texas Aquarium Societies is having their convention Oct 20-22 in Houston. Heiko Bleher will be the banquet speaker on the 21st. I can get more info if anyone's interested. I'm going for sure.

Any other ideas are welcome. The Ohio crew did a plant swap. We could also.

My wife suggested a trip to the aquarium and a beach picnic. That sounds good too.

I would like more info on FOTAS. I have been really busy and have missed some of the HAS meetings and the local livebearer club meetings.

That plan sounds good to me!

BTW, I love your tag "getting old sucks" My hubby and I say that all the time!
 
Yes, definitely. I don't know if I can coerce my wife into going, though. I'm probably going all day Saturday. I'm thinkin' about going to the banquet so I can see Heiko Bleher speak. I'm hoping he'll do another slide show. That guy's been everywhere and has some amazing pics.

I think a plant swap, if nothing else, woud be great. Visiting aquariums, bbq somewhere.....
Not sure if I can attend FOTAS, saving every penny at the moment, but it does look very interesting! Let us all know how it goes.
 
So, did this just fall through or what? I am on another forum (houstonfishbox) and they do things and have get togethers. I haven't been able to join them yet, but it would be great to get with other Texas fishie nuts!
