Just wondering if this will be an ok project for having rams in my tank that are very... sensitive to water differences?

I see alot of people use cement and epoxy's... and just wondering what steps should be taken to make sure it will in no way effect the PH levels...

Thanks in advance!

I have a background made of foam, with quik crete covering it. I then went over kill and coated the entire background with epxoy and sprinkled sand over it before it set up. I have had this up and running for three months now and have had no PH issues at all. I do have a GBR and a BR and several other community fish. All is well in the tank. Oh, this is a 75 gal, filtered with an XP3 and a couple of power heads for water circulation with diy co2 and lots of live plants.
