diy cichlid food ideas??

here's one

but here's what i did
1/2lbs of beef hearts and chicken livers
1/2 pack of frozen spinach
1/2 can of shelled peas
1 can of reg gold fish food
on pack of clear unflavored gelatin
then follow the instruction in the link of mixing and preparing
oh and its best to use a food processor

a little bit of time
Head to your backyard and use the trowell to dig up some earthworms. Did that this morning and the cichlids loved em

I guess I can't say this enough... Tetra Color Bits is an excellent product (IMO). It's NOT "Tetra" food, although they would love it too... Tetra is the company name, for those who may have thought otherwise.
I believe this product has helped out a great deal on bringing out the colors of my Discus! Even the SAE's are crazy about this food!
Try some and see... I'll never run out of this food!

drake: thanx for that web site im gonna try alot of those recipes.( i made one recipes very simular to yours but mines seems to clowd the water alot. did i blend to much or is it normal?
joe: i saw you say something about tetra color bits b4 and i accualy bought some a while ago and all i can say is my fish LOVE IT and i think it has made my fishes color alot nicer to thnx 80gjoe
matt: i too occasiaonaly dig up worms and feed it to my fish and they seem to love it.
