So, I have my DIY CO2 reactor built and it is ready for use when I get my tank up and running...I was wondering what you guys and gals thought in regards to recipes for my tank. It is a 26 gal tank and I built the reactor with a 2 liter bottle and I also built a reactor using an old gravel vacuum siphon I had.

2 bottles, (1 bottle = 2cups sugar, 10g yeast, 1/2tsp bicarb) = 8 days use, i would put 1 bottle on for a day the add second, date them with a marker and rotate every 8 days

OK thanks. What's the best way to tie them together? Right now I have it set up with the airline coming from the cap then about 6-8 inches of airline into a check valve then up into the tank connected to the DIY diffuiser. Also I want to connect it to a powerhead but am not sure really how to do it? Any suggestions?
Thanks everyone!

thanks sploke, that's a great link...very useful

what's the best yeast to use tho? baker's or brewer's? I can get both, I just want to get what is best and/or most long lived....

So, I just found an old Arizona Tea bottle 3.78liters, what mixture should I use for it? Should I just double the 2 liter recipe? The bottle is much thicker, so I think it will hold up longer, plus it has a wider base so it will stand up easier in case one of the dogs or my son bump the bottle...

yeah. That should work. Just try it out. I would suggest only using a pinch of yeast your mixture will last longer.
