Does anyone add yeast to an already existing diy co2 reactor? I'm thinking, why go through the trouble of mixing another batch of the stuff when you could hydrate some yeast and then just add it to what is already going. Of course, in another couple of weeks a new batch would be made up. Just trying to save on some of the work, mess, and use of sugar.

The yeast metabolize the sugar and produce alcohol. At some point, the alcohol reaches toxic levels and the yeast dies. Adding new yest to this mix would not help. The goal is to add the right amounts of ingredients so that when the alcohol reaches toxic levels there isn't much sugar remaining anyway.
