Hi All,
I'm new here, and I'd appreciate a little feedback regarding a DIY 2L bottle CO2 system.
I'm setting up my 75 gallon Oceanic with built in overflow and wet/dry filter. I want to use a little CO2 to help bolster my plant growth, and I've been reading up on how to set up the bottle/yeast system.
First of all, how long does each mixture last?
Secondly, how do I most efficiently disperse the gas into the tank? I'm worried about diffusing the bubbles due to the potential for a clog causing an explosion. What's the best way for me to get the bubbles into the aquarium? If I could do something in the wet/dry near the return it would be ideal for cosmetic reasons, and it might allow me to use two bottles more easily.

Thanks for any help,
Whitey

Here is something to get you started. Not sure what you mean by the wet/dry. Are you refering to the filter return to the tank? The only thing with that is, the closer to the air the co2 is injected the more that will leave the water to the atmosphere.

I don't have a tank that big, but I have heard that diy co2 doesn't work very well for tanks over 50gal, but I'm sure someone else can give you some more advice.
