weak soldering points might be the result of not enough heat or moving the wire while the solder was cooling, rapid led leds have a good thermal path so its hard to solder because the heatsink is pulling the heat away

here are the updates. I have this thing 16 inches above my tank. Wow is it bright. I am going to get some fans because my heat sink seems to be getting pretty hot.

Please excuse the gehto looking fixture. I really want to make a frame but need some help from one of my friends that's a carpenter.

optics/a barn door type flaps will cut down on the glare in the room..i imagine its fairly annoying to be in that room with those lights on?

with the optics no. Without the optics YYYEEAAS. I want to build a wooden fixture but i have to wait for my friend and she won't be ready for another month and i was inpatient.
