DIY Rimless Tank Project

Welp, first bad news of the project.

The wood I selected for the "slats" trim pieces is not accepting the golden oak stain very well. It's splotchy an dark in random spots. It looks bad. So, I'm gonna go back to the white slats. Since the pieces are already cut, I'm just gonna prime them and then paint them white once the stain dries. I'll get a pic before I paint them white so you can see what I mean.

Oh well. Things could be worse, like I built the thing to the wrong measurement or something. :p

Looking good!

keep up the good work.

Alright folks - it's getting down to wiring time. Here's a preliminary wiring plan for the lights:

Does this seem to make sense? Is it possible to wire two fixtures in-line like this, or do they need two separate power sources? I'd like to keep it to just 1 "plug" if possible.

Feedback? Will this work without causing an electrical fire? :)

Any comments on the wiring?

I think you will need to provide more info about the lights and power supply before anyone can adequately judge...

if i am understanding your diagram correctly it will work fine i have a fixture i modified to use 3 cfl sockets the same way

i was thinking the same thing need a pic to see what the final product looks like if you are having trouble with the wiring pm me ill try help you out :)
