DIY screw on CFL help

:help:I have a standard 20gl hood with 15w lighting, 1 bulb. I was think to upgrade to the screw on compact florescent light. will this work for medium light plants. and what is the best way to go about doing this. i am also on a budget, so if this is going to get expensive what the next best thing. i have look into new hood but they out my price range. Help please :help:

Does your hood take one of the long fluorescent tubes? If so, the screw in bulbs won't fit. Those are for incandescent hoods that hold screw in bulbs.

If your hood takes the long tubes, you'll need to get another light fixture to get more wattage.
