I'm considering making my own plants to go in my tank and was wondering how exactly I should go about doing this. I want to make sure that its 100% safe for use in my aquarium. If it isn't I might as well just fork out the dough for actual silk aquarium plants.

Anyone?

Yeah that was my plan. I just wasn't sure if it was safe or not to do that and what materials I should use to make them suitable for use in my tank. I was also worried about whether or not the dye in the plants would leech into my aquarium water.

i go to wall mart and buy the fake plants for a buck and then i make sure that if they contain metal i seal it all in with aquarium sealant ive been doing this for a while and no problems yet
