Heres my plan. Will it work?



Now for questions!
1. What could provide the mechanical filtering I want for section #1?

2. Would the slope of acrylic on the right side of section 2 be ok? Or would I need to leave it flat. (FIY: the pump would be under it otherwise.

3. Whats a good pump?

4. What dimensions would I need in order to filter 2 10 gallon tanks?

1. For mech filtering, I go to home depot and get air conditioning filter and cut it to size. It's like $7 and it is like 30"x30".

2. I don't know why you'd do that, but if you wanted, it would proabably cut down on noise.

3. Lot's of them. Quiet Ones, Mag Drives and Little Giants are good choices.

4. You could use a 10 gallon tank to use to filter the 10's.

Well then could I have the same layers, but instead of being real tall they could be real long. Would that work?

Cool what would be the smallest pump that would work? And could I use a powerhead? And how does the water get down there? Would I have to make an overflow?

lemme see.... umm I'd say anything that pumps about 90-200 gph...
maybe... overflow... yes(I suggest a DIY one)
