I know there are several threads on this but I don't quite understand what a drip plate is . Can someone help me out with a fairly detailed diagram I will be using a 20g high to filter a 150g pre-drilled oscar/jag tank. I have been convinced this will be better than a couple canisters especiall as the tank is set up for it w/built in overflow.
it's an acrylic reef tank that I scored for 100 bucks and it was only used for a week, all help will be greatley appreciated.

A drip plate/tray is just a piece of plastic with a bunch of holes in it to spread the flow of water over the biomedia in it's entirety. Think of it as the holey part of the shower head, and that shower head is spraying over the biomedia.
