Do baby tiger oscars look alot older than adults?

Im confused, I got what was supposed to be a tiger oscar
but he looks so much blacker and more yellow where the
older is orange/reddish markings. Occasionally it looks orangish
but usually yellow and hes alot darker than the older.


And both of mine seem to get along great. No real aggressiveness
between the two at all. Where one goes you normally
see the other right there. Great companions. Even though
one is a few months older and a couple inches larger than the
other. Would you say that they are both males? I understand
that the males are the more docile of the breed.

Im getting an X and not a picture in your reply...

I did visit your website and the older one looks just like
yours but the baby is black with more yellow markings,
not as orange looking.

ooops, i hit reload and it came up...

yes, that is what he looks like. Pretty much. Is that a tiger
oscar? Also, do you know anything about the males being
more docile?

I don't think you can tell the difference between male and female oscars until you see one lay eggs :o
