my Q is are rainbows and clown plecos cool together? i saw a little npping right as i change the pleco from another tank....29 half hex lots of schooling fish and 2 corys. both the fish are about 2.5 inches.....neither new to my home

some one help plz....i dont want this pleco to be harmed because its a somewhat expensize pleco and ive had him in my other tank for awhile.....overnight he is still in good condition and isnt hiding anymore

I don't think the rainbow shark will hurt your pleco at all, however, I have not had any experience with any kind of freshwater sharks. The only thing I would say is that the pleco and the shark may grow very large and outgrow the tank they are in right now, aside from that I dont think you need to worry about the shark harming the pleco.

The clown pleco will grow to about 5" and the Rainbow will grow to 5-6". They should be fine together. I have an albino Rainbow shark and a young pleco in together currently. The shark will sometimes chase the pleco out of his cave, but really very little agression between the two. Also, plecos have basically armored plating so I am not sure the shark is even capable of doing much damage to the pleco, they are really pretty impervious to a lot of damage.
