Because mine hides under a rock, and jumps out at them when they come close. although he hasent caught any yet, im worried he may snake on all of them in time.

Now i did just come back from a 5 day vacation, where the fish (cardinals) were feed flake foods, and the pleco has a small cucumber to snack on for 5 days, nothing else. Is it possible hes just hungry?

I threw in some spurlina tabs, and hopefully that will stop him from trying to kill my amanos, but does anyone know for sure?

my plecos don't really like the shrimp, and will flick their tails or do something else to scare them away. i haven't seen any get eaten, but sometimes bigger plecos do develop a taste for them. i recommend a daily head count.

The thing is, hes not even big. Probably no more then 1.5 inches.

It's quite possible that he was just hungry. I'd keep a close eye on him to see if it continues while making sure he's well fed.
