DO glass Diffusers work on DIY systems?

Would work on a DIY system like the 2l bottle.

Mine would always clog up the stone and got white yucky stuff on it. its normal but alsp a pain. i stick with high light and ferts

Ok, so i guess glass is a bad idea.

I just connected mine to a air stone and i've not had a single problem. It's been going for about 5 months.

Ok, so if i put a good airstone on the end, i should be fine?

Just make sure you seal around the air stone too. Otherwise, it'll just push out where the hose meets the airstone.

Ok so you seal around the bottle AND the airstone (where the tubing meets the stone)?

Correct. I have been using hot glue to do so, but it tends to melt the tubing and creates a new hole to leak though. So I'm switching to a cheap aquarium sealant. The airstone will create a fine mist of small bubbles for you.

How would I take the airstone off, if i needed to change something?
