Do guppies eat snails?

Don't laugh, it's a serious question :). I have those three tanks listed in my sig. Two of them, the 20L and the quarantine tank, have a thriving snail population with lots of eggs and baby snails. The tank with the guppies and ghost shrimp contains only those snails that came in there with the plants. Those snails have grown to quite a big size by now, but I have never seen a single baby snail in that tank. Actually, I don't see eggs either. I don't think it's the ghost shrimp that are responsible for this, because I also have some in the quarantine tank. Did anyone notice anything similar? And if yes, do Endler's do the same?

I've kept endlers and guppies and snails in plenty. Neither endler's nor guppies will eat snails, but they might pick on the eggs. It's not enough to stop the breeding of the snails. If you're not seeing baby snails in your tank, it's most likely due to the shrimp eating the eggs, or the newly hatched snails, or both.

Keep an eye on your snails, figure out where they lay, and seperate a clutch of eggs from the tanks with shrimp in them. This should let you boost your snail population.
