i had a bunch of baby pond snails last night, and today i can only find 1! even the adult snail is gone!

I have to say that while my mbuna tank was going through its fishless cycle, I used it as a plant quarantine and of course that brought in a few snails which turned into a small population. Then when I removed the plants and put in the fish, those snails were gone and never again were new ones found.

that is so odd though, because for like a month or so i had the big snail and it was never disturbed. =[

yea they dont eat the shell its crazy i watched them they put the snail in there mouth and move it around then spit out the shell with out the little snail inside its crazy like the eat it like oisters(those sea clam things) srry cant spell lol but yea if u look really good i say u find a few empty shell its pretty nice no over ran snail population

but i can't find the shell. i mean i haven't looked very hard, but it isn't anywhere within eyesight. it could very well be hiding in the topmost part of one of my ornaments, but the thing is, the snail was W-A-Y too big for the cichlids to be able to fit into their mouth.

that is so odd. i never would have thought my lovable cichlids would do that. hehehe. they have never disturbed my guppies or mollies. (i no longer have the mollies)

heh. anyways, i found the missing snails. the adult was hiding in an ornament, and the kids were hiding under the gravel (those that had hatched anyways) i still have lots of eggs on the sides of my tank.
