Do most LFS have a no-dead policy?

Well, one of the corys I added in yesterday afternoon croaked overnight. I'm wondering if I should bring it back and ask for another. Could be a chance to see if this place has customer service or not.

depends on the store.. most will ask for a sample of water.

Most of my LFS have a 24-48 hour policy with a separate sample of water that doesn't have a dying fish in it. Beyond that you'd be hard pressed to get much more than a discount on your next one.

Its all how much you schmooze

It really depends on the store. Some smaller ones cannot afford to pay for their customers' mistakes (not that it was your fault specifically) but do not be suprised if they cannot refund the dead fish.

:iagree:, but if you're a regular and they know you they will probably honor a return.
