do your fish have names?

I personally couldn't be bothered naming cherry barbs, since I can hardly tell the apart, but my father decided to name them... Ziggy, Ziggy and Ziggy.... and he has a fit if Ziggy is hiding.

As for the pleco, I simply called him Plec, but my father tried to name him Napoleon for some reason, but gave up on that one. He now calls it Shrek ?!?

I'm just wondering what names will come out when I upgrade the tank and get a school of neon tetras as well...
 
Corys: Chubby Charlie(named before we knew she was a female, but it still works); The two guys- C.C. and Chili.
Gouramis: Bullrock and Baby powder.

I had names picked out for my fish long before I got them. And then I lost the first dwarf gourami to Ich/too much salt. After that... I haven't really named them. "Gourami" "Piggy" and "Fatty" work. Maybe I'm hoping if I don't name them, they won't die on me.

Another thing, is the name I had picked for the male dwarf gourami was SANJA. After the whole American Idol thing, it kind of ruined that name for me. *lol*
 
My boyfriend named my two elderly Tiger Barbs recently. I've had them in one of the Q tanks for ages, because they're super old and sleep most of the time and kept getting picked on. He asked me the other day what was wrong with them and if they were ever going to get better, and I told him they're just old. He then named them Sicky and McSickerson, and asked me how long it takes a fish to die of old age, and if he can give them to the cat when they croak. He loves all my fish, really he does.

2 Marbled Angels - Harry & Sally
Red Tail Shark - Raz
Rock Eater (never can remember the tech name) Fred, as in Flinstone - sort of prehistoric looking
Roseline Shark - Trying to come up with something more creative than Rosie - but no luck so far.
The rest are the school kids - Black Neons, Serpae & Red Eye Tetras and Red Tail Rasboras.

My husband's goldfish (various types): Miner, Frick, Frack, Sunshine, Porkchop, Samurai, Coffee, Golddust, Vanilla, Redhat, Spot, Quarter, Pitiful, Kitty-cat, and Dreamsicle.

My 3 Columbian sharks: Jim, Billy, and Anita.
My 2 pictus catfish: Leroy and Slim
 
I had a JD named wally... who was a girl. She lived in the guy dorm and was named pre-sexing. She was well known and the name stuck. When i adopted her i had to keep the name.

Later we got her a husband, he was named Sam. After Sam Carter on stargate.... if the wife had a boy name it was fitting that the guy was named after a girl...

And when they had fry, my younger sister named them all..... yes, alllllll of them! I wont put you through that whole list.... The surviving fry was named Nemo after, of course, Finding Nemo. His story is a sad story. Sam went a little berserk and when trying to breed again with Wally, he did not find her up to snuff this time and killed her and all but one of the fry. Even though Nemo's dad in the movie did not kill the others, we thought it fitting.
