Looks bigger than a cat to me.

Looks like a raccoon or a opossum to me. Very hard to tell without lower jaw and teeth.

You can always take the hair shards and look under a microscope and get some dog or cat hairs to compare the hair shards to...just a thought....or it could very well be one of the ones that everyone else posted...
