I have had an ongoing ich problem,so I raised the temp up to 83.The next day my JD and Parrot were getting very aggressive towards each other.They are both males and have been together for 1.5 years.It almost appeared as if they were trying to mate.Anyone ever see this?

Yep, it can play a role with aggression. Fish are cold-blooded animals so when you raise the temperature, it increases their metabolism which can sometimes lead to aggression.
Heat could be a factor, although there are a number of others. They could already be irritated by the water condition
Territorial disputes are more frequent as they age.
How big are they (both same size)??
What size tank?? Is it open or have hiding places? (driftwood, lg. rocks)

no it doesn't cause it but it can cause a fish that is already aggressive to be more aggressive because the warmer water temps make fish more active. example: my neons will not be more aggressive if the water temp rises. they will, on the other hand, probably swim around more and be more active. on the other hand, my african cichlids will probably snap at each other more and their tendency to become more territorial will be exaserbated.
i don't think a jd and parrot are trying to mate. but the jd is already aggressive and the water temp has made him more so.
