Does it annoy you when people ask the same questions on here over and over again? For example, I see at least a few times a week people asking how to control snail infestations.

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood... But I don't understand why they choose not to use the very easy and readily available search function?

I understand that you may not be able to use it if you don't know the technical name for something or other reasons but is searching "snail control" really that hard?
 
Not really, it is the same on every forum across the internet. 5% of people bother to search, the other 95% would rather create a new post as it is easier. Typically they will get half a dozen people telling them to search, and then someone will give them the answer anyway.

People are lazy.

That's usually how forums work. Luckily it stops there though, out of fear of the multiple layers of complaining getting so thick that they form a singularity and destroy us all.

I bet that at least some of the people who do this HAVE searched, and are just looking for some kind of reassurance. They want people to post what they've done, what's worked in their experience, sometimes to consider the unique properties of their tank such as their tank size and stocking.

I'm kind of surprised to see you posting this, since sometimes it seems to me like you do this! The other day you asked if marmokrebs could be kept with snails. I was pretty sure they couldn't be, since in general crayfish eat everything (plants, snails and other fish) and Googling marmokrebs and snails gave me a pretty clear and unanimous answer.

So to answer the question your thread poses....no, it doesn't really bother me, I don't always assume people haven't read or tried to search before. I actually assume they have, and just want to discuss it further, just like the people who ask "what should I put in my ___insert size of tank here____ with my ___insert type(s) of fish here___?"
 
Can even search for fertilizer stuff to....
 
Hey I have like 10,000 ramshorn snails in my 20 gallon Pacu tank. How can I get rid of them all, and do you think i can put a flowerhorn in there too??

I just ignore a lot of stuff.
