Does your spouse or partner support your hobby?

My husband never complains about my hobby, that's because he has a hobby of his own...computers.....niether one of us says anything about the other's hobby.......lol !

Rick....you need to help your wife find a hobby of her own !! ;)

Wow. I'm screwed. I have two hobbies. This and computers. One trick I learned is this. Show her this big elaborate setup and have her convinced you am going to buy it. Then you settle for cheaper or smaller gear (which you wanted anyway) and she thinks she won by getting you to settle for less!

My husband is very supportive :)
I had a goldfish tank when we met in university, so he's never known me without fish in the picture.
He doesn't participate - the fish are definitely MY hobby - but I do catch him watching the tanks when he thinks I'm not looking ;). It doesn't hurt that his favourite, very spoiled cat absolutely lives to watch the fish :)
My hubby rolls his eyes when I tell him I want to buy a new piece of equipment or another tank and draws the line at a SW tank (too expensive) but he's generally very tolerant of my obsession and the spending involved. I do notice sometimes when I spend a little too much, a new, nifty piece of computer equipment or a game mysteriously finds its way into the house

Yup, yup! Absolutely. "I'm so glad you found something you like so well." 'Course when I'm busy with my tanks, I'm not being a pain in the neck. :D

My wife and I are in this together ;) .
Both our families had kept fish at one time or another, my wife decided she wanted some fancy Fantail Goldies and went out and bought a 35 gal hexagonal tank.
Our family diagnosed us with chronic MTS within a year

my wife supports and is actually gitting into it now and its working out in my favor she has actualy wanted to vacum the gravel she thinks it is fun.

my girlfriend actually ahs fun using the gravel vac too :dance

TIS wonderful

mine is quite comfortable with the community tank - and does support me too at time.
It's my craze for bettas that gets her MAD - she doesnt quite take kindly the concept of 1 fish per bowl

(pssst... I've got 6 betta bowls :dance )

lol Suby, I have 18 bettas...in various tanks from 1 gallon to a 10 gallon divided for 4 bettas. I used to sneak in new bettas...lol...it would take awhile for someone to notice them. I actually have more tanks to put even more betta in but I have become more selective with my choices and only will bring home very unusually colored or finned bettas now.

The last one I bought was a beautiful double tail marbled betta. I ended up bringing him back to the store because he had a chronic swim bladder issue, which would only get worse as he grew... :sad made me wish I had never seen him...lol..man, was he gorgeous !!
