I just adopted a 4 month old male terrier mix.

and i am wondering if anyone can tell me ways and/or websites to go to that i can learn more about training him.

thanks... i'll check it out, i have a little time before i get him. he is getting neutered and i get him on wensday :-D Im exited.... we picked him out at the shelter today
 
Your best bet is to at least go to puppy kindergarten at the local pet store, one step better is to go to an actual trainer and or training club.
 
I agree with JoJo on this...ask your vet for advice on a local trainer. You and the dog will both be happier if understand what you expect from it.

The biggest key in training a dog is consistency by the way.

I would check out PetsMart...when I went to college for Vet tech. my instructor taught classes at PetsMart, and my class even went to observe her teach in the training classes...and she taught Vet class for over 20 years...Go check out PetsMart....

I went to Vet. school, but unfortunately there is more money in the restaurant business being a server....but I do miss it....I worked in an animal hospital for 6 months, until I ended up with a hair line fracture in my skull (long story)...but it was fun, and someday maybe going to put some time in an animal shelter...
