Ok, so since winter has arrived of course the shedding has become just CRAZY. So I was wondering if anyone knows anything you can do to help with the shedding (aside from the constant brushing or shaving his hair off). Charlie is a boxer/beagle mix, and short haired but OMG, you can make another dog from the hair he leaves behind after laying.

No, that doesn't sound stupid...at this point I'm willing to do just about anything, this hair is driving me NUTS!

How does he react to a vacuum cleaner?

Your dog is shedding advice.... Put it on tv! Sounds like a money spinner haha

You wanna talk about hair? Ha! Try three dogs (two German sheperds and a sheperd/pitbull mix) and six cats! (Yes, I'm nuts.)

Really, all you can do is brush, vacuum and sweep. Too many baths or showers may cause your dog to have dry, itchy skin.

yeap, my advice is the same.... 3 saint bernards and a dobe mix and the hair here is unbelievable. Crushing daily and vacuuming is the inly thing yiu can do. To bathe them more than twice a month would do more damage than good. The only solution I have is buying a Dyson......for the floors, not the dogs.... although 2 of the dogs love the vac, 2 hate it.....

Regular dog brushes don't work nearly as well as these:

I've found since I've switched dog foods my dogs are shedding less. Also no more stinky poo! I have them on Nutro natural choice Lamb & Rice
