Be aware of new car-jacking scheme. Here's how it works;
You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside.
Then you lock all your doors, start the engine and shift into
REVERSE, and you look into the rearview mirror to back out
of your parking space and you notice a piece of paper stuck
to the middle of the rear window. So, you shift into PARK,
unlock your doors and jump out of your car to remove that
paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view...
When you reach the back of your car, that is when the
car-jackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take
off! Your engine was running, (ladies would have their purse in the
car) and they practically mow you down as they speed off in your
car.
BE AWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.
Just drive away and remove the paper that is stuck to your window later,
and be thankful that you read this email. I hope you will forward this
to
friends and family...especially to women! A purse contains all
identification, and you certainly do NOT want someone getting your
home address. They already HAVE your keys!

Although snopes has found no evidence that this method is actually being used, they do see it as a possibility and urge being cautious.

I knew I could trust you to find out the truth Sensi ;)

As a one-time King of Paranoia, this idea smacks of usefulness (read as: I'm surprised we haven't hearda about this happeneing yet). Lemme forward this on, thank you very much!

well it originated in CA so I guess it will take time to work it's way across the country, but maybe if we are all on guard it won't have a chance

if the paper is big enough to obstruct your view, wouldnt you notice it before you got into the car. seems like it would work though.

my dad works with sdpd so if its true he will probably give me a warning soon. i will go check with him. but me i would probably just drive off and let the wind take it off like i do with all the junk they put under my wipers.

was thinking about it and maybe its the cops way of getting people for driving with their vision obstructed and ticketing everyone for some big bucks. :idea2:
