This just has me sick to my stomach, not to mention a bit nervous. I live in a town of 1100 permanent residents and we have not had a murder in several years. I have lived in large cities and around the world for that matter where murder happens every day. I have even lost friends and family to violent crime. But I am numb.
One of the victims was a friend of mine. Had known her for 10+ years. She actually was one of the first friends I made here. They found her in her own home with multiple gun shot wounds to her head. Her husband in their detached garage with multiple gun shot wounds as well.
They were found yesterday. We thought maybe there were problems and it was a murder/suicide, but the coroner just ruled it a double homicide.
