Hi.

The fish-only(mostly?) tank I acquired has an anemone with. It is very pretty and my clown fish loves it. I don't know what kind it is; it has an orange-pink trunk and a bunch of white wormy "leaves". I know that description doesn't help much. :-)

However, the clownfish in all its love managed to "de-root" it from the sand. It's now sorta drifting along the bottom corner of the tank.
Is this okay? Do I have to "plant" it again?

Thanks!

It should re-attach to a surface by itself. If it hasn't done so within a day, I would gently place it's stump into a hollow, so it can anchor itself down. It's usually not a good sign when anemones won't attach. It indicates stress--I think you mentioned having high nitrites? If so, this is probably what is causing the problem. Getting the nitrites down is very important--I would suggest doing more water changes to dilute the nitrites down.
